Welcome
Decentralized Video
MOBOTIX is the pioneer of decentralized IP video systems,
creating the first IP cameras that do not require a central
PC (DVR). This decentralized in-camera intelligence allows
users to build cost-eective systems that can be easily
scaled even for terabytes of automatic video recording
using standard IT storage and networking devices – no
DVRs or VMS required (see page68).
Software 100 % Included
Every MOBOTIX camera comes with all the software
necessary to create a high-quality surveillance system.
Advanced functions are built into the camera, such as
video management, image analysis, and VoIP calling.
Professional Video Management Software (VMS) without
limits is included for Windows, Mac and Linux at no cost
(see pages 40-45).
Intelligent Imaging
Images are optimized, not by a PC, but in the camera.
That’s right, image correction (dewarping) and resizing is
applied inside the camera first, for improved bandwidth
management and storage minimization. This makes high
quality capture and streaming of Hemispheric video possible
across local and mobile networks (see page69).
Innovative Motion Analysis
MOBOTIX’ pursuit of innovation keeps it at the forefront.
MxActivitySensor is a revolutionary technology that only
registers traveling movement of people and objects, while
dismissing all redundant changes in the scene like shaking
trees in the wind or moving camera poles. This drastically
reduces the number of false alarms of more than 90 %
(see page48).
