D15D Camera Manual: Product Overview

Ambient temperatures may vary between –30 to +60°C/–22 to 140°F, making it the ideal
camera for the most demanding weather situations. From stations in Antarctica to produc-
tion monitoring at a steel smelting plant, MOBOTIX cameras oer unmatched flexibility
and versatility.
The absence of mechanically moving parts, heating and ventilation means that D15D
cameras require less than fivewatts of power. This can be easily supplied via a standard
PoE cable. Cleaning the D15D is simple enough: wipe the dome using a lint-free cotton
cloth and a mild household detergent without abrasive particles.
Model Variants and Lenses
The D15D is available as a Secure or IT variant, each of which has two day or night sensors
or a day/night sensor combination. The main dierence between Secure and IT models
is that the two image sensors of the Secure models have a higher maximum resolution
(two 3MEGA instead of two VGA). Each D15D comes with a well-protected, pre-installed
4GB MicroSD card as standard. If required, this card can be replaced with a card of up
to 64GB. The night models of the D15D with two highly sensitive black and white image
sensors deliver high-contrast images of up to sixmegapixels in size even in extremely
low-light conditions.
D15D: Individual Lens Configuration
The standard models of the D15D stand out in particular as they allow the two image sen
-
sors and lenses to be combined as required and focused on dierent areas independently
of one another. A lens can be delivered for every day or night sensor with a horizontal
image angle of 13°, 27°, 39°, 54° and 82° as desired.
Note
The lenses must be ordered separately for standard versions and can be attached to the
camera housing in just a few steps (see
Chapter 2, «Mounting»
). Special D15D-DNight-
Fix and
D15D-Pano
versions of the camera are also available. The lenses in these
special versions are pre-installed at the MOBOTIX factory on special lens bridges.
