FOREWORD

Dear MOBOTIX customer,

Congratulations on your purchase of the latest generation of the successful MOBOTIX

DualDome cameras. The D15D is a high-resolution, weatherproof network camera

"Made in Germany". The D15D can capture two dierent areas at once in great detail,

thanks to its two lenses with sensor assembly and optimized sensor technology.

The latest 5-megapixel image sensor technology used in the camera guarantees

brilliant 2x 3.1megapixel dual images. The camera's enhanced light sensitivity allows

it to produce convincing color images even in low-light situations. Likewise, you only

need one of the optional, new black and white sensors to deliver HiRes images of up to

3.1megapixel resolution at night – either live or recorded (D14D: 1.3megapixels).

Using a weatherproof MxBus and MiniUSB camera interfaces allow MOBOTIX interface

boxes and standard modules such as UMTS or storage devices to be connected directly.

The camera's 4GB internal ﬂash memory, which oers sucient space for long-term

recordings, can be individually extended simply by changing the MicroSD card.

This Camera Manual provides you with all the information you need to be able to unpack

and install the camera and view initial images on a PC. For information on how to work

with the many camera functions, such as event control or image storage, please refer to

the online help for the camera in the browser (see

Section 3.7.12

The MxEasy and MxControlCenter video management software, speciﬁcally developed

for MOBOTIX cameras, is available for free download from the MOBOTIX website (with the

manual as a PDF): www.mobotix.com> Support> Software Downloads. MOBOTIX

also provides a mobile solution for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch mobile iOS devices.
